Rota NAS, Spain

Although this box lunch met the requirements for feeding a
school child during a full 6 hours of learning, it hardly filled a 220
pound flyer for the 9½ hour flight from Rota to McGuire.
Included were the barest of food items, unusual condiments (ketchup on
turkey?) and little else. The drinks were those little 6 ounce Hi-C
boxes that fit in the palm of your hand. While some snacks were thrown
in, the hogies (using seeded hot dog buns) didn't do the job, and the
snackage didn't make it up to cruising altitude. Comparitively
speaking, it sucked.

Just when you thought things couldn't get worse, I get an e-mail from
Dan Whetzel who writes:
Just visited ROTA and I took a
picture of the Box lunch. Looks like
inflation has reduced the flight meal to one sandwich for $4.50.
This
really is flight robbery.
