Avoid anything with ham! I've been here 3 and a half years. During that
span of time I've gotten food poisoning 3 times eating the ham sandwiches.
The flight kitchen here is pretty weak. On many occasions we receive a nice
dose of penicillin with our sandwiches. You would think the green hairy
bread would be a clue to the peeps who work there that it's time to throw it
out and make a new sandwich, but I guess not. It's hit or miss, but make
sure you check your food thoroughly before eating.
I recommend box lunch "E" which is Pizza. (actually E is considered a
snack, so you don't get a whole lot in it, just the pizza , pasta salad,
pretzels, and pop). The chicken nuggets are usually acceptable. The fried chicken isn't too bad either. Last week I tried the roast beef for the first time and (although it was on wheat bread, which I dislike) it was very fresh. Almost deli-like. Maybe things are turning around here. I hope so, but remain skeptical.
Jan 2003 Update
I ordered the special of the day (as advertised on the meal order form) which was supposed to be a turkey BLT sub. Apparently the SUB means they'll substitute anything they damn well please. I got a greasy mini-pork chop on a bun. MMMmmm-boy-yummy. They offered mustard and mayo although I'm not sure which condiment is appropriate for a greasy pork chop sammich. The box was only half-full, weak utensils that broke easily, no date on the box or sandwich (sandwich was only half-wrapped), and the orange had some kind of crud growing on it. See photos below...

Keep trying, folks, you'll get it right some day...
