Well, I finally forgot to make my lunch at home and had to deviate from the "brown-bagging" lifestyle. In all, I'm glad I did. First thing I noticed was that I was asked what kind of soda I'd like with my meal. Nice touch. The turkey hoagie was really good although it used generic shaved meat. At least they had a good assortment of condiments to make it taste like what I'd asked for. The pasta salad was actually good, but it lacked the parsley, carrots, etc that some bases put in. It was a little light on italian seasonings too. As you can see, the goodie list was enormous with not one but TWO granola bars and TWO bags of Hawaiian trail mix. Add to that the Jell-O, peanut butter crackers, raisins, fruit mix cup and pretzels and you've got a meal that was fit to take a hungry engineer far enough to hit his next station without bitching too much. These guys put together one HELL of a box lunch, and I'm not sure whether it's practicing for next week's ORI/ASEV or just plain luck, but they really seem to know what they're doing.
