I got an e-mail from Steve today and he writes:

I did the ATC Mobile's box lunch a few years back and check this out. Went to a new base/aircraft and this lunch is worst than Mobiles.

I Commented in the picture boxes and would say this gets a negative 2 at best for chow. The comment cards are useless since the galley never reads them and I have gotten sick twice eating these pieces of crap. I will tell the other Coasties at other units to rate their crappy lunches as well.

Strong words, but his pictures seem to tell the tale. Stale bread, old food, improperly covered salad (without fork), kids' yogurt (without spoon), incorrect soft drink and all of that served in a paper bag. Let's not forget the mints for dessert. In fairness, I've gotten similar results out of Diego Garcia, Rota, and every other Navy-related place I've tried. Maybe it's just a Navy thing?
